Does everyone from Texas think it is alright to cut farm subsides but not do anything to cut the subsides that oil companies get. For once the farmer is making some money and the oil people can't stand it. If anyone needs their funds cut off it is the "bloated" oil companies

Dear Sirs, I am a 1949 graduate of Texas A & M University with a degree in Agriculture. I served for 3+ years in the US Marines in WWII, in China. I served as an agricultural teacher in Chile for many years. I am now retired in Los Angeles, CA.

I object strongly to the present bill that continues to pay subsidies to powerful and important people in agricultural areas. We must rectify the present system and assist in increasing the subsidies to food for the poor, food stamps, and assistance to displaced people in this world. There must be a major revamping of the present programs to weed out the "pork" and set right the inbalances.

The farm has been my home and my source of income. My studies and my experiences tell me that the powerful interests in our Farm Lobby are ruining the farm and distorting the production processes of food for the nation and for the world. We must correct this as quickly as possible.

Sincerely, Donald W. Waddell
